Alice G. Chapman Hall Collection

Scope and Contents This collection is comprised of materials documenting the history of Alice G. Chapman Hall, originally Jason Downer Commons, the location of food services for Lawrence University built in 1968. Correspondence, newspaper clippings, programs, contracts, and photographs are included in the collection. Materials on the Alice G. Chapman Teakwood Room are also included, as well as records documenting the 2011-2013 renovations to the building.

Scope and Contents This collection contains records documenting the project to update the College Avenue median between Drew and Lawe streets in 2008-2009. The project was a collaborative undertaking between Lawrence, the City of Appleton, and private donors in the neighborhood who funded the project. Records include correspondence, contracts, invoices, meeting minutes, and other planning materials.

Kurgan and Appleton Sister City Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains materials documenting the sister city relationship between Appleton and Kurgan in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. This relationship was formally established in 1990, though other materials in the collection document a previous sister city relationship between Appleton and Pyatigorsk, Russia. Materials include memoranda, newspaper articles, and other publications dating from 1983 to 2010.
