Music-Drama Center Collection

Scope and Contents This collection is comprised of materials documenting the history of the Music-Drama Center, the home of the Conservatory of Music and Theatre department that was built in 1959. The collection includes correspondence, building plans, articles about the building, and photographs. Materials on Harper Hall, Cloak and Stansbury Theatres, and Waterman Library are also included.

Administrative planning records related to the war effort pre-dating the establishment of the Navy V-12 unit at Lawrence, including applications to other federal programs, are also included.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of records documenting programs for off-campus study at Lawrence, 1963 to the present. Records document the planning and preliminary investigations for off-campus study programs in the mid to late 1960s, as well as the operations of programs at specific off-campus study locations including the London Centre. Materials include primarily articles, administrative documents, brochures, and photographs.

Scope and Contents This collection contains records of the Office of Development, and fund-raising records pre-dating the creation of this office, from 1847 to the present. Records include administrative and subject files, publications, event invitations, and campaign materials. Records documenting gifts to Lawrence, including early subscription books, gifts from corporations and individuals, endowed chairs and professorships, and grants, are also included.
