Sue Ann Hackett Papers

Scope and Contents This collection contains papers collected and created by Sue Ann Hackett, Lawrence College graduate of the class of 1957, primarily dating from her years as a student. Materials include a scrapbook, coursework from a Western Civilization class taught by William Raney, photographs and slides, banquet programs and ephemera, a booklet of transcribed letters and journal entries, and newspaper clippings. Also included is a Stan Kenton record as an example of what students listened to in the 1950s.

Theodore Crane Collection on Henry Merritt Wriston

Scope and Contents This collection contains reproductions of materials collected by Theodore R. Crane while researching the life and work of Henry Merritt Wriston in the 1960s. The bulk of the materials are copies of speeches and publications by Wriston dating from his years as president of Lawrence College, 1925 to 1937. Also included are correspondence and summaries of interviews with Lawrence staff and faculty conducted by Crane from 1963 to 1966.

Scope and Contents This collection contains materials documenting the careers of artists Thomas Dietrich and Margaret Rape Dietrich, dating from 1945 to 2001. Materials include biographical information, correspondence, exhibition programs, photographs, and art prints.

Thomas Roberts Scrapbook

Scope and Contents Thomas Roberts' scrapbook contains correspondence, class schedules, class syallabi, invitations, napkins, receipts, photographs, posters from on campus events, programs from athletic events, and his pledge card from the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. All the collected materials relate to his first year at Lawrence College, 1951-1952. Many notes in the scrapbook refer to a woman named "Arlene," most likely Arlene Keller who graduated with Roberts in 1955. The two later married.

Tony Vaughan Papers

Scope and Contents This collection consists of a selection of literary works by Tony Vaughan, Lawrence University class of 1970. Works include novels, poetry, and other writings, and date from 1967 to 2008. Materials related to Vaughan's life and work assembled for the Reunion in 2012 are also included.

Peterson Collection contains publications written by Dr. Peterson, personal correspondence, materials that pertain to Milwaukee-Downer College history, newspaper articles, and photographs. Dr. Peterson taught history and worked as a librarian at Milwaukee-Downer College and Lawrence University. He died in 2007.
