Academy of Music Records

Scope and Contents This collection consists of records created by the Academy of Music (previously known as the Lawrence University Music Preparatory Program and the Arts Academy) dating from 1979 to the present.  Records include photographs, programs, catalogs, newsletters, and newspaper clippings.

ArtsBridge Program Records

Scope and Contents This collection includes records primarily documenting the ArtsBridge program at Lawrence University, dating from 2005 to 2011. Records include grant reports, newsletters, and audiovisual recordings of ArtsBridge Day events held at Lawrence. A few materials related to the ArtsBridge program at the University of California, dating from 2001, are also included.

James Ming Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains annual reports, concert programs, correspondence, newpaper clippings, materials documenting Ming's teaching and education experiences in Europe, information about his retirement, and photographs. Ming taught piano and composition at Lawrence University from 1944 to 1971.

Jennifer Fitzgerald Papers

Scope and Contents This collection contains digital files created by Jennifer Fitzgerald, postdoctoral fellow and instructor in music composition from 2005 until her death in 2007. Files include syllabi and other materials produced by Jennifer in teaching courses in Music Theory and Composition. Also included are correspondence, scores, and recordings of some of her compositions.

Marjory Irvin Papers

Scope and Contents This collection contains papers of Marjory Irvin, professor of music at Milwaukee-Downer College from 1947 to 1964 and at Lawrence University from 1964 to 1987, documenting her years at Milwaukee-Downer. Materials include sheet music and song lyrics, photographs, correspondence, recital programs, and ephemera dating from 1948 to 1964.
