Colman Family Collection

Scope and Contents This collection consists of materials related to several members of the Colman family who attended or were otherwise connected with Lawrence University since its founding, including Henry Root Colman, Henry Colman, and Lucinda Darling Colman. The bulk of the collection consists of Lucinda Darling Colman's handwritten "Memory Pictures," written between 1923 and 1930. Colman recalls her childhood, attending Lawrence in the 1850s, and her travels on the west and east coasts from 1906 through 1914....

Overview The Elisabeth Koffka Papers is a collection of materials from History Professor Elisabeth Koffka, which ranges from 1918 to 1994. The materials within this collection include her poetry, prose, published works, personal documents, reflections, correspondence, lecture notes, student papers and exams, and other materials from Professor Koffka's time and Smith College and Lawrence University. The collection is also home to audio tapes recounting personal history.
