Jim Davis Scrapbooks

Scope and Contents These scrapbooks were created by Jim Davis during his time at Lawrence from 1954 to 1958. The six albums include photographs taken by Jim depicting sporting, theater, and fraternity and sorority events at Lawrence, as well as newspaper clippings.

John Bucklew, Jr. Papers

Scope and Contents The collection is composed of publications, speeches, and biographical information of John Bucklew Junior, a professor of Psychology at Lawrence from 1947-1974. A wide range of publications by Bucklew make up the majority of his collection. The biographical information present in the collection dates from his time at Lawrence until his death in 1974.

John Eugene Davies Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains a photograph of John Eugene Davies, Lawrence University class of 1862; a letter written about him by classmate William Searles; and two U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey notebooks containing micrometric measures and observations dated 1889-1891.

Scope and Contents This collection contains papers documenting Judith Sarnecki's tenure as professor of French at Lawrence University from 1985 to 1987 and 1990 to 2010. Materials include correspondence, course syllabi, seminar materials, publications and book reviews, conference speeches and papers, newspaper clippings, and photographs. An audio recording from a Davenport, IA radio station interview with Sarnecki is also included.

Karen Chobot Scrapbooks

Scope and Contents This collection consists of two scrapbooks. The first was made by Karen Chobot during her freshman and sophomore years at Lawrence University, from 1963 to 1965. It includes newspaper clippings detailing the consolidation of Lawrence College and Milwaukee Downer College, convocation and theater programs, as well as sorority and fraternity event programs. The second scrapbook was a gift to Chobot from her sorority sisters and consists mostly of magazine clippings, 1965 to 1967.
