Summary Note

Colors Day began at Milwaukee-Downer College in 1914. The day took place at the beginning of the school year and included a procession of classes. There was a transfer of a red, green, yellow, or purple banner to the incoming freshman class. The colors provided class identity and linked all Milwaukee-Downer students.
