This collection consists of records of the student organization Lawrence International at Lawrence University dating from 1976 to 2019. Records include event fliers and planning documents, meeting minutes, correspondence, and photographs. Programs, articles, and other materials documenting the annual International Dinner/Cabaret are also included.

Biographical or Historical Information
Students founded Lawrence International in the spring of 1976. They organized the first International Dinner in the fall of 1976 - this became an annual tradition, known today as Cabaret. From http://www.lawrence.edu/students/international/lawrence_international, 2017-07-17: "Lawrence International is one of the largest student organizations at Lawrence University, connecting the international community with American students on campus. It organizes campus-wide events including dance formals, ethnic dinners, picnics, cultural activities, the annual Cabaret, and so much more."
Method of Acquisition
The bulk of the collection was donated to the Archives by Tamanna Akram ‘18 on behalf of Lawrence International, 2017-06-14. Newspaper articles, photographs, and Cabaret programs from Student Organizations Records (LU-RG06-005) were integrated with this accession. Additional materials were transferred in October 2019. LI yearbooks downloaded from website, 2017-07-17.
