Scope and Contents This collection includes personal papers of Alice Nash White, Lawrence University class of 1901, and her husband Kirby B. White, ex-class of 1897 and trustee from 1927 until his death in 1933. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence between Henry Wriston and Mr. White dating from his years on the Board, with particular emphasis on the college's response to financial difficulties during the Great Depression. Also included is a photocopy of Mr. White's diary dating from 1917 to 1932.
Abstract This collection is composed of the papers that document the presidency of Henry Merritt Wriston, president of Lawrence University from 1925 to 1937. Materials include both incoming and outgoing correspondence, speeches and statements Wriston gave while at Lawrence University, and publications he wrote during his presidency. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence with alumni, Greek organizations on campus, the Institute of Paper Chemistry, and trustees.

Scope and Contents This collection contains reproductions of materials collected by Theodore R. Crane while researching the life and work of Henry Merritt Wriston in the 1960s. The bulk of the materials are copies of speeches and publications by Wriston dating from his years as president of Lawrence College, 1925 to 1937. Also included are correspondence and summaries of interviews with Lawrence staff and faculty conducted by Crane from 1963 to 1966.
