Abstract This collection is composed of the papers that document the presidency of Henry Merritt Wriston, president of Lawrence University from 1925 to 1937. Materials include both incoming and outgoing correspondence, speeches and statements Wriston gave while at Lawrence University, and publications he wrote during his presidency. Scope and Contents This collection contains reproductions of materials collected by Theodore R. Crane while researching the life and work of Henry Merritt Wriston in the 1960s. The bulk of the materials are copies of speeches and publications by Wriston dating from his years as president of Lawrence College, 1925 to 1937. Also included are correspondence and summaries of interviews with Lawrence staff and faculty conducted by Crane from 1963 to 1966.
