Amos A. Lawrence Letters volume, 1846-1851
Item — Box: 2
Identifier: Item 1
Inscribed: "These letters contain many things not related to the University. They were copied from the original letters by Mr. Ireland: March 1853. My answers to these letters so far as here inserted are upon the backs of the letters, sometimes hastily written. Since Nov. 1, 1849 my letters have been copied by a press into my own letters book. Amos A. Lawrence, Ap. 4. 1853." Contents of this volume largely overlap with correspondence contained in the volumes of original bound correspondence and typescript copies, but some materials (48 items, according to William F. Raney and Charles Breunig, who each cite this volume as "Blankbook" in their written histories of Lawrence) are unique.
