This collection contains audio recordings in analog, magnetic, and digital formats documenting the Lawrence University campus and community. The recordings date from 1947 to 2014. Events documented include Commencement ceremonies, lecture series (including Freshman Studies lectures), reunions and other alumni gatherings, news broadcasts, Conservatory programs, and more. Large portions of this collection were digitized in 2022. Researchers are encouraged to verify with staff the format of individual items and availability for immediate use.

Collection is open for research. Unless otherwise noted, all items recordings are on audio cassette tape format. Many recordings have been digitized, but some will require preservation reformatting prior to use. Please contact the University Archivist for access.
