This collection consists of records from the Special Study Committee, a faculty committee appointed to study the curriculum at Lawrence, dating from 1952 to 1955. The work of the committee was supported by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation.  Records consist of meeting minutes, correspondence, and reports (including what became known as the Troyer Report, named for the committee chair, Howard Troyer.)
