Judith Sarnecki Papers

Scope and Contents This collection contains papers documenting Judith Sarnecki's tenure as professor of French at Lawrence University from 1985 to 1987 and 1990 to 2010. Materials include correspondence, course syllabi, seminar materials, publications and book reviews, conference speeches and papers, newspaper clippings, and photographs. An audio recording from a Davenport, IA radio station interview with Sarnecki is also included.

Karen Chobot Scrapbooks

Scope and Contents This collection consists of two scrapbooks. The first was made by Karen Chobot during her freshman and sophomore years at Lawrence University, from 1963 to 1965. It includes newspaper clippings detailing the consolidation of Lawrence College and Milwaukee Downer College, convocation and theater programs, as well as sorority and fraternity event programs. The second scrapbook was a gift to Chobot from her sorority sisters and consists mostly of magazine clippings, 1965 to 1967.

Scope and Contents This collection documents the research and service of Kathleen Isaacson, reference and systems librarian at Lawrence University from 1973 to 2016. Materials include annual reports and records of Isaacson's service on various task forces and committees, including the Council on Academic Computing and Inter-Office Communications and Task Force and Computing and Technology. Records documenting the Campus-Wide Information System and the London Stage Information Bank are also included.

Laurinda Rhoades Scrapbook and Pledge Manual

Scope and Contents Laurinda Rhoades attended Lawrence as a freshman and sophomore in 1936 and 1937. Contents of her scrapbook include newspaper clippings, cards and letters, Conservatory and Convocation programs, and ephemera; written captions are included. Her sorority pledge manual is for the Alpha Iota chapter of Zelta Tau Alpha.

Materials include publications, speeches, correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, and information regarding Longley's memorial services. Longley's "Working Papers on Comparative Legislative Studies" volumes I-IV are also included.

Leda A. Clark Notebook

Scope and Contents This notebook contains notes from a course in Political Economy taken by Leda A. (Ballard) Clark, Lawrence University Class of 1878. At this time, Political Economy was a required course for students in the first term of their senior year under both the classical and scientific courses of study.

Letters received by Professor Hiram A. Jones

Scope and Contents This bound volume contains almost one hundred letters written to Hiram A. Jones by his former students to celebrate his fortieth year of teaching at Lawrence University in 1894. Jones was a professor of Latin from 1854 until his death in 1898.
