Summary Note
Milwaukee Female College, founded in 1851, was a predecessor of Milwaukee-Downer College. The college was founded by Lucy Ann Seymour Parsons, and its first name was Milwaukee Female Seminary. Milwaukee College consolidated with Downer College in 1895 to create Milwaukee-Downer College. This image was printed on page 18 of Grace Norton Kieckhefer's The History of Milwaukee-Downer College, 1851-1951.
