 Digital Record
Identifier: ARC2007-075

Dates

  • 1963-09

Summary Note

Colors Day began at Milwaukee-Downer College in 1914. The day took place at the beginning of the school year and included a procession of classes. There was a transfer of a red, green, yellow, or purple banner to the incoming freshman class. The colors provided class identity and linked all Milwaukee-Downer students. This Colors Day in 1963 marked the last one that would occur at Milwaukee-Downer; the school consolidated with Lawrence University the following year.
