Charlotte Marie Lorenz taught as Professor of Spanish at Lawrence from 1919 to 1940. This collection contains some of Lorenz's translations: The Conspiracy of Venice, Year 1310, Historical Drama, by Francisco Martinez de la Rosa, "Letter by Gabriela Mistral to Eduardo Mallea about the death of Stefan Zweig," and a formerly bound work, "Translations from the Spanish." The collection also includes a text by Lorenz titled, "Literary Contracts Between Spain and Germany," an article she wrote for the Hispanic Review, and transcriptions of her death notice found in the Appleton Post Crescent.
