This collection contains Lauter's manuscript, Women As Mythmakers: Poetry And Visual Art by Twentieth Century Women, edited by the Indiana University Press; a photo-duplicated version of her essay "Visual Images by Women: A Test Case for the Theory of Archetypes," as found in the text edited by Lauter and Carol Schreier Rupprecht titled, Feminist Archetypal Theory: Interdisciplinary Re-Visions of Jungian Thought; and a newspaper article that describes Lauter's teaching methods. Lauter taught Freshman Studies at Lawrence University when her husband Charles Lauter became the Dean of Student Affairs. She later went on to teach at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay.
