Records primarily include annual reports and correspondence by Conservatory deans, Conservatory faculty meeting and committee minutes, and accreditation materials for the National Association of Schools of Music and the North Central Association.

Overview

This collection contains administrative records of the Conservatory of Music including correspondence, committee and faculty meeting materials, and former faculty files. Materials have been largely transferred from the Conservatory Office through records management, and span the years 1910-2021.

Arrangement

Materials in this collection are arranged alphabetically by file name, with the exception of the Dominique de Lerma files which are a separate series.

Method of Acquisition

Dominique de Lerma files transferred to the Archives by the Conservatory Office, August 2007. Materials tranferred in July 2021 as part of accession 2021-025 are as follows: Former faculty files; Faculty Meeting minutes, 1980-2021; Committee on Administration minutes, 2001-2009; Bachelor of Arts in Music Committee, 2002-2008; Conservatory Planning Committee, 1989-1997; Academy of Music letters of appointment, 2011-2019; Conservatory Advisory Committee, 2005-2021. The source, date, and method of acquisition of other materials in this collection are unknown.
