This collection contains a manuscript of James Collier Stewart's doctoral dissertation, "Geodesic Correspondences Between Surfaces of Revolution"; grade books, 1946-1971; records regarding Stewart's advisees; a list of mathematics majors; academic and personal photographs; a VHS tape of Stewart teaching at Bjorklunden; and a cassette tape of his Memorial Service at Lawrence University on May 26, 1998. Dr. Stewart taught in the Mathematics Department at Lawrence University from 1946 until his retirement in 1978. Dr. Stewart died on May 16, 1998.
