Biographical or Historical Information
The Faculty Committee on University Governance formed an Ad Hoc Committee on Faculty Development of Teaching in the spring of 2002 to prepare "a report in which the structures (administrative and/or committee-based) that would best be used to support long-term faculty development of teaching at Lawrence are identified" and that would "discuss how best to integrate the Center for Teaching and Learning in faculty development as well as what resources are needed to support needs in this area." This report was completed in 2003. The Committee on Teaching Development subsequently became a standing committee of the faculty in 2004.
