Samuel Newell Griffith's scrapbook contains menus from events at Lawrence University, posters from events at Lawrence Univerity, and programs from Lawrence, the University of Chicago, Chicago Theological Seminary, Garrett Biblical Institute, Northwestern University, and Weslayan Seminary. The beginning of his scrapbook also contains pages from Liberetto of the Flower Queen or the Coronation of the Rose, words by Miss Frances Jane Crosby and the music composed by George F. Root.

Biographical or Historical Information
Samuel Newell Griffith graduated from Lawrence University in 1861. After graduation he tutored and later taught as an adjunct professor at Lawrence University before graduated from the Garrett Biblical Institute.
