Collection: Office of Research Administration Records

This collection consists primarily of reports completed for national surveys requesting institutional data, dating from 1983 to the present. These include Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Freshman Survey reports, Common Data Set reports, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) reports, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) reports, and National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) reports. University profiles and statistics generated for other audiences are also included.

Biographical or Historical Information

The Office of Research Administration was established in 2005, with the appointment of Dr. William Skinner as Director. Prior to this time, the office was known as "Institutional Research" and was a function of the Office of the President.

Materials are arranged alphabetically by report type.

Custodial History

Files dating from prior to 2005 had been in the custody of the Office of the President in Sampson House and were moved to Mursell House with the establishment of the Office of Research Adminstration.

Method of Acquisition

Initial record set transferred to the Archives in two accessions (2012-051 and 2012-052), August and September, 2012. Materials acquired annually since 2012.
