This collection documents the scholarship, teaching, and service of Bertrand Goldgar, professor of English at Lawrence University from 1957 until his death in 2009. Paper files are arranged in chronological order and include articles written by Goldgar, syllabi for courses he taught, correspondence and photographs. These materials date from about 1960 to 2010. Digital materials consist of about 1500 word-processed files, including course materials, correspondence, and research-related materials, dating from 1986 to 2009.

Method of Acquisition

Paper files donated to the Archives by Anne Goldgar, 2010-01. Digital files migrated from U:\staff\Library\lib_archives by Erin Dix in 2012. Presumably these were migrated from Goldgar's office computer / personal network space by Technology Services staff upon his death in 2009.
