Collection: Lydia Gardenier Butts Scrapbook | Lawrence University Archives

Lydia Gardenier Butts's scrapbook contains dance cards, her freshman arm band from Lawrence College, the Lawrence College Handbook from 1917-1918, menus, newspaper clippings, photographs, postcards, programs for musical and theatrical performances at Lawrence and performances in New York, song lyrics, telegrams, and ticket stubs. Additional objects can be found in a brown envelope attached to the interior of the scrapbook's backing. Lydia Gardenier Butts attended Lawrence as a freshman and sophomore, from the fall of 1917 to the spring of 1918. Her husband, Jay W. Butts, graduated from Lawrence College in 1918.
