Biographical / Historical

Thaddeus Stevens of Pennsylvania had the reputation of being a fiery abolitionist, civil rights advocate, and leader of the Civil War-era Radical Republicans in the House. He was also the impeachment manager during the trial of President Andrew Johnson.
