This collection contains papers documenting the research and teaching activities of William F. Raney, professor of history at Lawrence University from 1920 to 1955. The bulk of the collection consists of papers related to Raney's research and writing of a history of Lawrence University from 1955 until his death in 1962, including note cards, primary source materials, and drafts. Some materials related to his research and writing of Wisconsin: A Story of Progress...
