Gene Davis Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains correspondence, annual reports, newspaper articles, conference booklets, brochures, and photographs. Gene Davis coached at Lawrence from 1956 to 1991. In 1996, Davis was inducted into the Intercollegiate Athletic Hall of Fame. He died in 2006.

Hamar Union was used as a student union beginning in 1926 until Memorial Union became the student union when it was completed in 1951. It includes a dissertation proposal and dissertation from the History of Consciousness Program from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1989-1990, entitled One of the Songs of Zion: Incorporation and Community in East Palo Alto. Also included are memoranda and photographs from Perkins' time at Lawrence.
