Summary Note
Three hundred Fox Cities residents and Lawrence students marched through downtown Appleton on Sunday, March 14, 1965 to honor the Reverend James Reeb, a Civil Rights activist who was killed in Selma, Alabama on March 9, 1965. The march ended with a memorial service for Reeb held in the Memorial Chapel.
