This collection consists of photographs used for Lawrence University publicity and publications dating from about 1935 to 2013. Photographs were taken by staff in the Office of Communications (formerly the Office of Public Affairs or the Office of Publicity and Publications) or contract photographers. Materials in this collection include cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, and polyester film negatives; contact prints; photographic prints; transparencies; 35mm slides; and born-digital photographs.

Method of Acquisition

Accession 2011-06 (photographs, negatives, contact sheets, and slides of campus people and events, 1975-2009) transferred to the Archives 2011-07-22. Accession 2016-05 transferred to the Archives April-June 2016. Earlier materials acquired prior to 2005, dates of transfer unknown.
