"The Honor of Being the first residents of Lucinda Darling Colman hall went to a handful of conselors [sic] and 30 freshmen who moved into the new women's dormitory on Lawrence college campus Thursday before workmen finished the building. Shown at the unloading door are Miss Jean Curtis, resident head, greeting Mrs. C. H. Carpenter, Little Rock, Ark., who had driven her daughter Charlotte, (next right) to college. Counselor Merrily Watters, Cedar Rapids, Ia., assists with the unloading." (Post-Crescent?)
