This collection contains the papers of Bessie J. Wolfner, Milwaukee-Downer College graduate of 1918, dating from 1914 to 1983. It includes correspondence, course work, and photographs documenting her years at Milwaukee-Downer, as well as correspondence from Milwaukee-Downer faculty in the years after her graduation. Other writings by Wolfner are also included.

Biographical or Historical Information

Bessie J. Wolfner (1897-1983) graduated from Milwaukee-Downer College in 1918. She received her M.A. from New York University in 1930 and taught French at University City High School in St. Louis, Missouri for 37 years until her retirement in 1962.
