This collection contains video recordings in analog, magnetic, and digital formats documenting the Lawrence University campus and community. The recordings date from 1926 to the present, with the bulk dating from about 1990 to 2005. Events documented include Commencement ceremonies, building dedications, lecture series, athletic events, reunions and other alumni gatherings, news broadcasts, Conservatory programs, Department of Theatre Arts productions, and more. Researchers are encouraged to verify with staff the format of individual items and availability for immediate use. Many items in this collection will require preservation reformatting before they can be used.

Method of Acquisition

Recordings were transferred from various offices on campus over a period of many years. Recordings donated by individuals have been noted at the item level. 14 VHS tapes separated from accession #2016-10.
