Biographical or Historical Information

The Buchanan Kiewit Recreation Center was completed in 1986, containing an Olympic-size swimming pool, gymnasium, running track, exercise and weight rooms. It was named in honor of the Buchanan family, Marjorie Buchanan Kiewit '43, and the Peter Kiewit Foundation. In 2011, the center was renovated to incorporate student health and counseling services and wellness programming, and the building's name was changed to the Buchanan Kiewit Wellness Center.
