Scope and Contents This collection contains materials documenting Lewis M. Alexander's service on the Lawrence University Board of Trustees, 1894 to 1931. The bulk of the collection contains correspondence with President Wriston regarding the building of the Alexander Gymnasium. Other materials document the building of Peabody Hall (the Conservatory of Music) and the Schneller-Whiting Gate.
