Scope and Contents This collection contains the correspondence of Amos Adams Lawrence pertaining to his business interests in Wisconsin, primarily dating from 1844 to 1858. Letters in the collection primarily address Lawrence's investments and land matters, while a minority of letters pertain to the founding of Lawrence University. Scope and Contents This collection consists of the papers of Arthur P. Remley documenting his service on the Lawrence University Board of Trustees. Remley served as a trustee from 1952 until he was elected emeritus trustee in 1993. The bulk of the papers date from 1962 to 1979. Materials include primarily correspondence, newspaper clippings, and reports. Subjects documented include the use of the Bjorklunden property, selections of University presidents, and student unrest during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
