Overview The Elisabeth Koffka Papers is a collection of materials from History Professor Elisabeth Koffka, which ranges from 1918 to 1994. The materials within this collection include her poetry, prose, published works, personal documents, reflections, correspondence, lecture notes, student papers and exams, and other materials from Professor Koffka's time and Smith College and Lawrence University. The collection is also home to audio tapes recounting personal history.
Scope and Contents This collections primarily contains materials created by Freeman A. Havighorst (later spelled Havighurst), a professor of History and Political Science at Lawrence University from 1897 to 1909. Materials include lecture notes, grading books, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and a biographical sketch written by his sons. A folder of materials created by Winifred Weter Havighorst, class of 1898 and instructor in English Literature from 1898 to 1899, is also included.

Scope and Contents This collection documents the research, teaching, and service of William Chaney, professor of history at Lawrence University from 1952 until his death in 2013. Scope and Contents This collection contains papers documenting the research and teaching activities of William F. Raney, professor of history at Lawrence University from 1920 to 1955. The bulk of the collection consists of papers related to Raney's research and writing of a history of Lawrence University from 1955 until his death in 1962, including note cards, primary source materials, and drafts.
