Biographical or Historical Information
           
             Science Hall was built in 2000 to replace the Stephenson Hall of Science, demolished in 1998. The name of the building was changed to the Thomas A. Steitz Hall of Science in 2010, to honor Steitz '62, winner of the 2009 Nobel Prize in chemistry.
