Scope and Contents
In this diary, White records his reactions and thoughts on the war in Europe, beginning shortly before America's entry into the war and lasting through the armistice. In addition to reporting the news, he discusses his work as a member of the American Seed Trade Association War Committee, which involved travel from his home in Michigan to New York, Washington, D.C., and California. The diary also includes shorter entries in 1921 and again in 1932.
