This collection is composed of materials that document the presidency of Samuel Plantz, president of Lawrence University from 1894-1924. This collection contains reproductions of materials collected by Theodore R. Crane while researching the life and work of Henry Merritt Wriston in the 1960s. The bulk of the materials are copies of speeches and publications by Wriston dating from his years as president of Lawrence College, 1925 to 1937. Also included are correspondence and summaries of interviews with Lawrence staff and faculty conducted by Crane from 1963 to 1966.

This collection is composed of the papers of Thomas N. Barrows, Dean of Lawrence College from 1935 to 1937 and President from 1937 to 1943. The bulk of the collection is correspondence sent and received dating from his tenure as President. Subjects discussed include the construction of the fraternity quadrangle and the administration of the college during the outbreak and early years of World War II. The collection also includes speeches, publications, and photographs.

This collection is composed of the papers of Wilson S. Naylor, a professor of Biblical literature at Lawrence from 1904 to 1934. Naylor also served as Dean of the College from 1920 to 1934 and Acting President from 1924 to 1925.
