This collection contains papers collected and created by Sue Ann Hackett, Lawrence College graduate of the class of 1957, primarily dating from her years as a student. Materials include a scrapbook, coursework from a Western Civilization class taught by William Raney, photographs and slides, banquet programs and ephemera, a booklet of transcribed letters and journal entries, and newspaper clippings. The bulk of the collection is correspondence sent and received dating from his tenure as President. Subjects discussed include the construction of the fraternity quadrangle and the administration of the college during the outbreak and early years of World War II. The collection also includes speeches, publications, and photographs.
