The series contains incoming and outgoing correspondence of Samuel Plantz. Plantz numbered each of the letters and recorded the number in an index during his lifetime. There is no clear order of how the letters were numbered. Boxes with the numbered correspondence had a date on the front of February 12, 1972. It is unclear if this was the date the letters were received by the Archives from the president's office or the date they were placed in folders and arranged. Letters are arranged in numerical order.
