Ottilia Buerger Papers

Scope and Contents This collection is composed primarily of papers written by Otillia Buerger while she was a student at Lawrence College, 1934 to 1938. It also includes newspaper clippings, photographs, and other materials related the Ottilia Buerger Collection of Ancient and Byzantine Coins at the Wriston Art Center.

Scope and Contents This scrapbook was created by Patricia Hamar Boldt while a student at Lawrence College, 1944-1948. It includes photos, newspaper clippings, fraternity and sorority event programs, as well as a student handbook and letters.

Scope and Contents This collection consists primarily of papers documenting Peter A. Fritzell's teaching and research activities as professor of English at Lawrence University, 1966 to 2003. Materials date from 1962 to 2015 and include correspondence, letters of recommendation, publications, lectures and speeches, as well as teaching materials for English and Freshman Studies courses. Materials documenting Fritzell's friendship with poet Jerald Bullis are also included.

Scope and Contents This album contains photographs of members of the preparatory class in rhetoric of 1871. The album was presented by the class to Miss Margaret Jane Evans, preceptress and instructor of Latin and German at Lawrence from 1870 to 1874.

Ralph J. Watts Scrapbook

Scope and Contents The Campus Club presented this scrapbook to Ralph J. Watts and his wife at a dinner for the Campus Club of Lawrence College and the Institute of Paper Chemistry at the Riverview Country Club in 1950. Watts retired that spring as the college's business manager and started the following year as vice president. The scrapbook contains photographs of other college employees, trustees, and honorary degree recipients.

Lawrence in the founding of Lawrence University, and his wife, Eliza Kimball Smith. Papers date primarily from 1846 to 1895 and include correspondence, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, photographs, and records of donations to Lawrence University. Reid Abrams and James Cowen Pacific Crest Trail Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains materials documenting Pacific Crest Trail expedition carried out by Reid Abrams, class of 1977, and James Cowen, class of 1976, from April to September, 1975. Abrams, a biology major, and Cowen, a geology major, hiked 2,500 miles of the trail. Materials include articles, photographs, field reports, and over 100 maps showing the route that Abrams and Cowen hiked.
