Floyd Berry and Alice F. Deming Scrapbook

Scope and Contents This scrapbook was made by Floyd Berry and Alice F. Deming, eventually husband and wife, while students at Lawrence College. It contains photos of the Lawrence campus and students, programs and tickets from school events, letters and telegrams, newspaper clippings, as well as sports memorabilia.

Scope and Contents Frances Dahlem Radford graduated from Lawrence College in 1902, and her scrapbook contains photographs from her time at Lawrence.

Frances Hogg Brown Scrapbook

Scope and Contents This scrapbook was created by Frances Hogg Brown during her years as a student at Lawrence, 1911 to 1915. It contains primarily photographs of faculty, students, activities such as May Day, and other scenes from campus and the city of Appleton. It also includes signatures, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia.

Franklin Doeringer Collection

Scope and Contents The collection contains a reproduction of Doeringer's dissertation, "Yang Hsiung and his Formulation of a Classicism," from Columbia University, 1971. It also includes other writings, newspaper clippings, and photographs. Materials date from 1971 to 2007.

Scope and Contents This collection consists primarily of materials from seminars hosted by the USA War Office, including schedules, reports, personal and secondary publications, class enrollment slips, and correspondence. Also in the collection are lecture notes and slides, research bibliography notecards, and family photographs.

Fred Schroeder Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains newspaper clippings and magazine articles highlighting Schroeder's musical career, personal correspondence, biographical materials, and photographs. Schroeder served as the Director of Bands at Lawrence University from 1951 to 1978.

Freeman and Winifred Havighorst (Havighurst) Papers

Scope and Contents This collections primarily contains materials created by Freeman A. Havighorst (later spelled Havighurst), a professor of History and Political Science at Lawrence University from 1897 to 1909. Materials include lecture notes, grading books, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and a biographical sketch written by his sons. A folder of materials created by Winifred Weter Havighorst, class of 1898 and instructor in English Literature from 1898 to 1899, is also included.

Scope and Contents This collection contains materials documenting the Friends of Gladys Taber organization as well as materials documenting the life and work of Gladys Bagg Taber. Materials include quarterly newsletters, correspondence, newspaper clippings, copies of Taber's writings, research materials, photographs, and audio and video recordings.

Gene Davis Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains correspondence, annual reports, newspaper articles, conference booklets, brochures, and photographs. Gene Davis coached at Lawrence from 1956 to 1991. In 1996, Davis was inducted into the Intercollegiate Athletic Hall of Fame. He died in 2006.
