George Westcot Scrapbook

Scope and Contents This scrapbook was created by George Westcot, a student at Lawrence College from 1911 to 1913. It contains primarily photographs, along with some newspaper clippings, athletic programs, and ephemera. Materials date from 1911 to 1917 and include documentation of George's time as a student at Lawrence and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as his travels around Wisconsin, in other states, and in Ontario.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of two scrapbooks created by Gertrude Clark while she was a student at Lawrence, 1932 to 1936. The scrapbooks include programs for Conservatory, theatre, and athletic events; dance cards and ephemera; photographs; and newspaper clippings. Documentation of the sorority Alpha Delta Pi and the 1936 Peace march are also included.

Scope and Contents This collection contains photographs and album pages from Gertrude Wright McKee, who attended Lawrence in the late 1910s. Photographs of individuals and groups of students are labeled. A set of photographs shows the student cast of "First Lady of the Land," performed at the Appleton Theatre in 1918-1919.

Scope and Contents This collection contains Dr. Gervais Reed's published articles, book reviews, correspondence, lectures, and translations. Dr. Reed taught at Lawrence University from 1964 to 1996. In January 1996, the French Ministry of Education named him a "Chevalier de l'ordre des Palmes Academiques," a knight in the Order of Academic Palms.
