Fred Schroeder Collection

Freeman and Winifred Havighorst (Havighurst) Papers

Scope and Contents This collections primarily contains materials created by Freeman A. Havighorst (later spelled Havighurst), a professor of History and Political Science at Lawrence University from 1897 to 1909. Materials include lecture notes, grading books, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and a biographical sketch written by his sons. A folder of materials created by Winifred Weter Havighorst, class of 1898 and instructor in English Literature from 1898 to 1899, is also included.
