Martha Lou Burt Scrapbook

Scope and Contents This scrapbook was created by Martha Lou Burt between 1901 and 1918. It includes newspaper clippings about sporting events and marriages of her friends, calling and dance cards, as well as invitations to Lawrence University and sorority events. Martha attended Lawrence as a freshman, from 1903 to 1904.

Carman Fink's scrapbook contains an author's note, where she mentions that this scrapbook contains memories from several scrapbooks that did not survive "our many army moves." Scope and Contents This collection contains correspondence, course materials, information relating to Mary Ann Rossi's Equal Rights Amendment advocacy, a scrapbook for the Wisconsin Governor's Commission on the Status of Women from 1977-1978, and scrapbook materials for the Governor's Commission on the Status of Women in 1979. Rossi taught Italian and Freshman Studies at Lawrence University, 1959 to 1970.
